Pre-work
Prior to attending Leadership Excellence & Executive Coaching Course, you will receive a copy of The Leader's Compass, 3rd Edition and will be required to complete a first draft of your Leadership Philosophy (Leader's Compass). Please allow 3-4 hours for completion of all required pre-work.
Day 1
- Arrival at Battleship North Carolina Visitor Center
- Introductions in the Admiral's Quarters
- The Leader's Journal
- Managing a Leader's Style and Energy
- Leadership Starts at the Top: Visit ship's bridge
- Aligning & Accomplishing Goals
- Personal Leadership Philosophy
- Understanding the Big Picture: Visit Combat Information Center
- Homework: Allow 1-2 hours to complete the required readings and exercises from Day 1
Day 2
- Feedback
- The Importance of Precise Communication: Visit Radio Central and Signal Bridge
- Creating a Motivational Climate
- Wardroom Luncheon (Officer's Dining Area)
- Leveraging the Power of Conflict
- Living and Working Together: Visit Crew's Galley, Mess Decks (Dining Area), Living Quarters
- Homework: Allow 1-2 hours to complete the required readings and exercises from Day 2
Day 3
- Setting Leadership Priorities
- Knowledge, Priorities, Action Under Duress: Visit Damage Control Central and Engine Room
- Accountability
- Teamwork is Critical: Visit Gun Turret for 16 IN Guns
